Keep Cosy and Carry On

I've now returned my neighbours knitting machine which she graciously let me borrow. The last thing I made on them were these lambswool egg cosies.
The actual construction part didn't take too long but the knitting took up nearly 2 days. I was expecting the felting to take equally as long but seemed to react within seconds of it touching the sink. Luckily, the 2 parts of the cosy fitted exactly the width of the felt. If I'd planned it before hand, it would have bound to have been wrong!
I only have 23 of these until I can get my own machine. Any sales will go into the pot!

Wallpaper Envy

I've been designing my house for years. As yet I still don't own so much as a door handle, so all my ideas have been confined to my head. One thing I really want, is some fancy wallpaper.
These examples are from Little Greene and have been inspired by historic wallpapers from the English Heritage archive.

WaterAid

Since last September, our family and beyond have been trying to come to terms with the tragic loss of my gorgeous nephew Rohan.
WaterAid has been chosen as the charity to benefit in his memory, to help save lives around the world through the provision of clean water. From now on a portion from every sell will be donated in his honor.

New Year

A bit late but Happy New Year! 6 days late but whose counting :)
After hearing the news about the rest of the country enjoying (or not) an abundance of snow, it was finally are turn. Haven't actually ventured outside yet but took some photos through the windows. Less fun but warmer :)
Received my new cashmere yarns to knit up for Valentine's Day, Angel Pink & Chianti Red. Unfortunately, lots of snappage issues with the purple so not too sure what to do about that one.

And do people give hot water bottle covers for Valentines? If they do then I'm ready :D
